We used the dryer guys a couple of months ago. They did a great job.
I clean the exhaust screen at the dryer every time I use the dryer. It makes the dryer run more efficiently and keeps the exhaust pipe from becoming clogged. Having a clogged dryer exhaust pipe is a fire hazard. A reliable plumber or handyman worker should be able to do the job.

Second the Dryer guys. They did ours last year, and even repaired our ductwork, so that when we got a new dryer this year, the installation team just plugged the new dryer straight into it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think this is the issue and I need to frequently do that.

Just make it part of the routine. Empty the dryer, then empty the lint screen. That way you always know it's empty before you add your wet clothes.

I do this nearly every cycle (occasionally miss one) and we've only had our vents cleaned out once or twice in 30+ years ... and that was because an appliance service tech was doing some other dryer work for us and offered to do that, more or less preventively.
In the ideal installation (hard duct, 30' or less, and straight from dryer to outside), there is basically no need to clean the duct, as the dryer has sufficient power to blow all lint out of the line.
However, most ducts are done by contractors, who know nothing about the 'dos and dont's' for vent lines:
Lastly, install washer & dryer, so the back side of the dryer is accessible without having to move the washer. If this is not possible, consider using the 'Hard Duck' adaptor, which allows you to push the dryer onto the duct line, without having to tighten anything on the backside.

My dryer is banging and burning my clothes. At least twice a year my dryer vent is on the second floor of my house and it needs to be cleaned. I usually have Ned Stevens clean it, but they are booked out for 3-4 weeks! Can anyone please suggest a person or company that can clean my dryer vent? Thanks so much!
