It feels like whatever falls tonight will be frozen. It actually feels colder than my thermometer reads.
Monday Dec 16th
Possible light rain continues today, gradually warming temps into the 40⁰s
Rain likely again after midnight tonight, light, ending Tuesday morning.
Tuesday breezy and warmer, high in the 50⁰s
Rain again likely Wednesday, most likely in the afternoon and evening, moderate, perhaps ½ an inch or a bit more
Keeping an eye on Friday where there might be a wintery mix
Wednesday Dec 18th
This morning should be mild, mostly clear with high near 50⁰. This afternoon becomes cloudy, with a chance of rain. Rain becomes likely this evening and overnight, perhaps moderate at times.
Thursday clearing and breezy, colder, high mid 40⁰s
Friday starts with a slight chance of a dusting of snow, then a chance of mixed rain and snow again overnight.
Saturday, clearing, breezy and colder, and Sunday should be clear, breezy, and quite cold, with highs only in the 20⁰s
Thursday Dec 19th
Forecast is on track with a slight chance of snow showers Friday morning, then breezy chilly and overcast. Chance of snow develops overnight, ending by mid morning Saturday, with little or no accumulation likely.
Breezy and colder Saturday, Sunday clear and cold
Friday Dec 20
Some tweeks to the forecast this morning
Slight chance light snow thus morning becoming chance light snow this afternoon. Significant accumulation not likely
Possible mixed precipitation becomes again chance of snow overnight. If it snows, we might get as much as an inch by mid morning Saturday
Saturday breezy and cooler, winds could gust in the high 20mph range
Sunday forecast remains cold and clear, high temps in the 20⁰s. Breezy in the morning
Today and Saturday, the main precipitation looks to be staying to our west over central PA and upstate NY, where they could get significant snow. Check local forecasts if you are traveling this weekend
Got close to an inch here in Maplecrest. Easy to shovel at 7 am this morning. Sun seems to have taken care of most of the sidewalks, even where people did not shovel.
Maybe this was an an outlier since Joan only got an inch and she lives just a couple of blocks away from me, but we had about four inches of snow accumulated on our deck tables and chairs. Much less on the driveway and grass where presumably the ground was warmer than our metal/glass patio furniture. (Our deck is on the north side of the house so always shaded in winter. At the end of the afternoon as it got dark, the amounts on the furniture had settled but were still at or more than two inches.)
We also got about 4" on our deck table and benches - and this is on the south-east side. Our stairs on the north-west side of our house didn't accumulate as much snow height, but were quite icy.
It was kinda windy so maybe that explains why you have four inches in the backyard and two inches in the front yard. It looks to me like we had about 2 and a half inches of snowfall.
The ground was still unfrozen so the accumulation was delayed by groundmelt and therefore lower. Official measurements are taken in contact with the ground, so I reported 2.6" with a water content of 0.09", but I collected 0.21" liquid in the gauge so there was the equivalent of several more inches that fell but melted immediately
Monday Dec 23rd
It's cold
Temps this morning are in the single digits, with a high in the low 20⁰s
Chance of light snow overnight, perhaps a dusting, ending Tuesday morning
Then mostly clear with closer to seasonal temperatures, highs in the mid 30⁰s and lows in the 20⁰s, through the end of the week
Tuesday Dec 24th
A band of light snow moves through the area this morning, ending around 10. Clearing skies and a high in the mid 30⁰s. Perhaps an inch new accumulation.
Tomorrow and Thursday, clear, high in the mid 30⁰s.
Roads are snow covered this morning, be careful traveling.

That inch was enough to get my door bell rung earlier.

Sunday Dec 15th
Increasing cloudiness today as a warm front gradually overruns the cold. Temps will still be chilly today with a high in the upper 30⁰s, but the temps will increase a bit overnight and rain should develop after midnight.
Rain likely Monday, mostly before noon, with a high near 50⁰. Rain overnight again Monday, most likely after midnight, likely ending early Tuesday morning. High in the 50⁰s
Not a lot of rain in these systems, perhaps half an inch total over the two days
