Air in water pipes

Some days we hear a lot of noise from the water pipes.

Should we call water softener company, or a plumber?

Interesting problem.  When the water is under constant pressure you shouldn't be getting air in the lines.  If you're not turning the pressure off on occasion it could be a supply problem.  Maybe call the water company.
