Once Upon a Time ... early in the fourth month of the year

It was an age of 69 years ago to the day, when television had the characteristics of being almost totally without light, or totally with the full spectrum of light, that a national broadcaster - which was not American - reported on a family in southern Switzerland who were harvesting a rare, but still familiar to many, crop.
