What in the world happened to my email

Check to see if your email setting shows the most current email first.  

Joan, she I open the email is rings email from 2023! For a brief period earlier today, i saw a few current emails it that stopped and I am back to 2023. i am asked to type in my Comcast password but I have no idea what it is! I tried several passwords I have used in the past, but no luck.

How can I start with a brand new password for Comcast?

See if there is a forgot my password link.  If so select it.  Then follow the instructions.  In the future, it is a good idea to use a password manager and to write down important passwords and keep them in a safe place.

I don't know about Comcast specifically. But if you are currently logged in, try logging/signing out and then try to login again. There should be a "forgot my password" option and then you can reset it.

This could be a mistake if TOTR doesn't have some sort of alternative email for them to send the link to.

If the OP has two point verification on their email account, the verification code could be sent to a phone number as voice message or text.
