offhand, the only thing I can think of is try to remove the battery and leave it out for a few minutes, put it back and try again.

Was watching a film on Saturday night, fell asleep, laptop ran through film to credits before going into standby/auto off. Laptop was on battery power.
On Sunday, the laptop wouldn't turn on after putting it on external power. left it plugged in for 24+ hours, but still no power.
Power supply is good, showing 19+ volts at the plug.
Any ideas, other than shop for a new unit.
