He had a chance when he came close to being arrested years ago. Could’ve cleaned up his act. Knocked off the tomfoolery.  But he kept up the nonsense. I don’t have any sympathy here. I’m just sad that hes getting his just desserts while the Felon In Chief skates along free and back in power. 

I'll never understand people who just barely get away with the crime continuing to commit more crimes, particularly when they should know that they are being watched.

It was more of a rhetorical question.

This conviction is just for what he was caught doing. There are likely many other things he got away with during his long tenure as mayor and congressman that he got away with.
