Your experience and opinions

regarding Autofill and multiple email accounts.

Lately I’ve become quite curious about these internet ‘services’.   As with lots of other folks dubious of something for nothing, but these seem to offer something worthwhile.  I asked folks with experience about each.  That was a while ago.  There are, of course pros and cons so I’d like to hear your take on these.

Thanks,

Can you be more specific? Not quite sure what you're asking about.

But I will say that the "something for nothing" services will generally peddle whatever personal info you give them to other services. It's usually just your email. You have to decide whether the "something" they provide is worth the risk of more junk email. Personally, I don't care so much about giving away my email anymore. If you start getting unwanted emails, you can usually easily unsubscribe from them, and you still receive the "something" from the original service.

Not sure what you mean by autofill as a service you sign up for.  I have found that online actions I perform frequently such as registering online for virtual meetings, webinars, and events, now autofill my registration information making it much easier to apply.  This is not something I have signed up for as a stand alone service.  These organizations already have my information and are now inserting it for me. I have no objection to their continuing to do this.

Multiple email addresses are like having multiple credit cards.  They may work for you if they serve a specific purpose.  Having a separate email address for your job or an organization where you perform PR or serve as corresponding secretary can be useful in separating work-related emails from personal ones.  Having a separate email address for online purchases or applications may help cut down on the amount of spam appearing in your primary account.  Some email providers such as Gmail will provide multiple email addresses to a single user.  They already have your information from the primary account.

just as an FYI - auto-fill is a feature/function built into the web browser. And you can install browser extensions , like Bit Warden, which extend that function.
